Javra Software has a longstanding commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). With the aim of helping the young and marginalized students of Nepal, Javra initiated its social responsibility campaign in 2015 for providing basic school needs and educational infrastructures for students in rural regions of Nepal.

Following the years of continuous support, in 2022 Javra Software started the campaign for Stationeries, Sanitary Pads, and Clean Water Filtration distribution for deprived students of five different schools covering three districts of Nepal including almost 700 students.

Starting from the Syangja district, with a total of 500 students, the distribution campaign of stationery items including Copies, Pens, Pencils, and Toolbox was held. Additionally, Water Filtration Devices were also installed on the school premises. The distribution program was conducted for two days long, among 175 students of Shree Gandaki Madhyamik Vidyalaya, 40 students of Laligurans Basic School, and 285 students of Shree Gyanodaya Madhyamik Vidyalaya in the presence of guardians and local level officers.

One of the major problems for the school children in summer is clean drinking water. In the summertime, drinking water for students is not clean due to which children are frequently sick and are not able to go to school regularly, also due to high temperature they feel dehydrated. Keeping this the most priority, we installed Water Filtration Devices in three different schools. “After the installation of the filtration system, children are now able to drink clean water and there will be no problem with drinking water in summer which was a matter of concern for the school management too,” said the principal of Shree Gandaki Madhyamik Vidyalaya.

On to the next school in Bardiya district, the distribution program was conducted among 85 students of Suryodaya Basic School. In conversation with one of the students from grade five, she said “Due to the lack of regular school essentials and hygienic sanitary pads she and her friends are not able to attend school regularly and feels left out”. Since Bardiya is one of the hottest regions in Nepal, school girls face many problems with menstrual hygiene due to lack of good sanitary pads. We distributed sanitary pads to all the female students in the school. With the motive of empowering the school and children management, we identified the problem and fulfilled the basic educational requirements which help in motivating the children to go to school.
