Clod and Tuber Detection​

We have developed a system that uses a camera to identify whether an object is a potato or a stone. Here are the key highlights:

  • Detection Process: The camera captures images, and our model analyzes them to determine if they are potatoes or stones.
  • Accuracy: We achieved an impressive accuracy rate of 97% in correctly identifying these objects.
  • Performance: The model processes 1 image per second, allowing for efficient detection. We have successfully conducted larger tests with about 10,000 objects to further evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Future Plans: We are also developing a "tuber mode" to sort potatoes by size for better use in products like potato chips.
